FreeNAS for NAS with BitTorrent for Torrents, all in one, part 2 of 2

In the first post we have to see how setp a FreeNAS server, here we see how to enable correctly BitTorrent in FreeNAS.

Open WebGUI of FreeNAS usually,

http://freenas

user is admin and default password is freenas

Go to Services/BitTorrent, write down Peer Port number and set a Download Directory browsing in your FreeNAS server.

before clic Save and Restart, set a password for BitTorrent WebGUI.

Now open

http://freenas:9091

user is admin and password… (can’t you remeber? you have set it two second ago)

Yeah! I got it!!! No.

You have got to you internet router to map Peer Port connection to FreeNAS server.

Yeah! I got it!!! No.

Last very importan thing to do is to open internal firewall for incomeing connections, go to Network/Firewall and add a new rule setting only Destination Port field with Peer Port number you have wrote down.

To test world saw BitTorrent you can use uTorrent service:

http://www.utorrent.com/testport?port=51413
